Hello

Hi, I'm Dr. Craig Olson and have been a colorectal surgeon for the past 15 years.  I love the field of colorectal surgery and have been active at the national and international level for my career by maintaining a busy practice, presenting research, and educating residents and fellows throughout my career.  Initially, I practiced at an academic medical center for 12 years where I worked as colorectal fellowship director, director of the pelvic floor disorders program,  and interim chief of colorectal surgery.  Three years ago, I came to Waxhachie to start a practice here and have enjoyed every minute of it.  During this time, I have continued to present minimally invasive robotic surgery research, teach residents and practicing surgeons as advanced minimally invasive surgical mentor at SAGES (our minimally invasive surgical society), and have become vice chair of the national pelvic floor disorders consortium run through our national colorectal society, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.  When not at work, I enjoy raising my three sons by spending time outdoors and gardening.
